Details

Heavyweight dishwasher-safe 18-8 stainless steel pie chain by RSVP. Comes in a plastic box you can also use for toothpicks, thumbtacks, push pins, bobby and safety pins and other small objects.

A pie chain is used when you bake a pie shell (prior to filling it) to keep the dough from deflating or growing puffy in the oven. Employing a pie chain is more fail-safe than using beans or pricking the dough. Just coil the chain beneath the shell before you bake. After your shell has cooled off, take out the chain to unveil a perfect crust that awaits your filling.
